Where To Find Ace Personal Training Practice Test
Getting an ACE personal training fitness certification can be a nerve wracking experience, unless you are prepared for your test. My experience has been that people who have done a practice run are more likely to stay calm through the actual test. Do not let the worry of the test dissuade you from becoming a certified trainer. Why? That is because certification is the first step towards cementing yourself as a serious personal fitness advisee. After all, ACE is the one of the largest nonprofit fitness certification, education and training organizations of the world.

For starters, you can look for practice tests on the official ACE website. They are available to potential trainers looking to take the test in the form of “self-study course bundles”. You can buy practice tests in book form, as well as take online diagnostic tests. There are two official online diagnostic practice tests available from ACE. The online practice tests are advisable because you don’t have to wait for them to arrive in book form, as you would normally have to, if ordering the official manual. Also, your score is automatically calculated for you — something that I found very convenient.

You can also buy the ACE Personal Trainer Manual set that comes with a book and CD’s. The manual is currently in its fourth edition and is a good way to prep for your test if you study well from books.
This book is for certified trainers, but it may be worth looking into before you take your certification test. Basically, it is something that both certified trainers and potentially certified trainers should own. Another book that may come in handy for you is the book on muscles and anatomy. You will want to have a good look at the muscles in the body before even attempting a practice test. The ACE exam preparation blog is another helpful resource.

If these seem too pricey for you, a simple internet search will also help you along your way to becoming certified. Finding a free practice test on the internet may be problematic, but it is really easy to find resources for sale in both book and online form from institutions other than ACE.
Simply search for ACE on any major online book retailing website (such as Amazon) and you will have plenty of options to choose from, including buying practice tests in e-book form. These books may not contain official ACE exams, but their practice tests are fairly close to the original. I found some of these books to be less costly than the official ACE study materials. Social media websites are great places to visit where you can bounce questions off others, and swap practice tests, or sell them for cheaper than new resources.
