There are two main goals I find among my clients who come to see me in the gym. One of these is the desire to gain muscles and the second is the desire to lose weight. Often, both of these desires are present and there are people who want to lose the weight they have in fat and then put it back on in the form of muscle. There are good ways and bad ways to lose weight and all too often I have had clients who have been misinformed about how they should be exercising so here I’m going to outline three of the best exercises to lose weight fast without risking your health.
Number One: Running
Running is one of the most simple and the easiest types of exercise and it is also one of the best exercises to lose weight fast. It is estimated that the average runner loses around 100 calories for every mile they run, making it one of the fastest ways to burn calories which ultimately leads to weight loss.
Running requires very little equipment and you can get started with just a pair of running shoes. If you’re planning to run long-distance every day then it would be a good idea to invest in an expensive pair of shoes as these generally have features that will prevent you from sustaining injuries, not to mention they will make running much more comfortable and enjoyable.
Number Two: Swimming
Swimming is an intense sport that burns a lot of calories but does not put much strain on the body. If you’re looking for the best exercises to lose weight fast then you should really consider this, especially if you are a bit older. Generally older people are more prone to injury and this is something that can come from running or other high impact sports. Also if you have sustained an injury in the past then swimming is a sport that is going to allow you to burn a great deal of calories without aggravating any past injury.
Number Three: Jumping Rope
Jumping rope or ‘skipping’ is an activity that most people greatly underestimate. Unfortunately it has an association with girls on a playground and most people don’t take it seriously as a high-intensified form of cardiovascular exercise. However, if you are looking for one of the best exercises to lose weight fast then you should not discount it. If you skip for 10 minutes this burns the equivalent number of calories that 8 minutes of running does. It also requires very little equipment and is something you can do in your own home without too much hassle.
