This is great! You just need to lose 20 pounds. When you compare that to other weight loss plans, losing 20 pounds is easier but keeping it off is a bit more difficult. Give yourself a good 2 months to lose it all. You have to be sure that you follow this diet plan so that you can reach your goal.

Step 1

Do your own grocery shopping. You need to know everything you eat. Prepare your own food and never eat out. This way, you are responsible for every calorie added to your body. Buy food that is high in protein to aid you in muscle recovery from your workouts and food that are low in carbohydrates. Fill your refrigerator with chicken, fish, lean beef, cheese, skim milk, peas, broccoli and other similar types of food. I got this really neat cookbook at amazon.com: The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook: Great Tasting Recipes That Keep You Lean. Learn recipes from there. The recipes are really tasty and are low in calories.

Step 2

Work out! If you want to burn ample amounts of calories in a very short span of time, opt to do high intensity cardio workouts such as spinning. This way, your workout sessions would not be too time consuming. If you plan to do cardio gym, make sure that you have a great gym instructor with you. This way, he can help you lose the flab in your target areas like your waist or your arms. He can teach you ways on how you can work out at home.

Step 3

Eat up to 5 small meals to keep your metabolism going throughout the day. This should include regular meals like your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Include 2 healthy snacks in between, too. Each of the meals should contain 500 calories max. Otherwise, they are not considered small anymore. Your snacks should be 200 calories max. Eat fruits for your sugar. If you want bread, make sure that is whole wheat bread because it contains less calories and more fiber.

Step 4

Choose your drinks. First of all, you have to completely stay away from alcohol. Drinking alcohol will make you dehydrated. Your body reacts to dehydration by retaining water in places like your arms and chin making you feel and look bloated. If you want milk, switch to soy milk or almond milk. Stay away from carbonated drinks and processed fruit juice as well because the sugar content of these products are bad for your diet. Make it a habit to drink green tea and black coffee because these two are really good antioxidants. Also, black coffee and green tea will aid in mobilizing the fat in your body and use it as fuel when you exercise. So have a good sip of any of these before working out.

Simple, isn’t it? Remember however, that you need to consult a physician before starting any diet plan. Let your blood sugar, cholesterol level, BMI and cardiovascular health be checked so that you know what food and exercises are healthy for your diet plan. Good luck!
