Food is one of the key components to maintaining a healthy body. We look for the best bodybuilding supplements but we also have to make sure that we are conscious about what we eat. Let me share to you some of the best bodybuilding recipes that are quick and easy to make.

High-protein and Low Carb Taco Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ packet seasoning for taco
  • 2 tablespoons salsa
  • 1 cup bell pepper, slice into strips
  • 1 cup tomato, diced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 cups of loosely packed lettuce

Procedure:

  1. Brown beef in skillet
  2. Add your taco seasoning with water (check the package of your taco seasoning for the amount of water you need to add)
  3. Add salsa and pepper
  4. Cook until vegies are soft outside and hard on the inside
  5. Add cheese, sour cream or salsa

Low Carb Pancake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cup Soy or Almond Flour or Protein Isolate
  • 3 teaspoons splenda
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Procedure:

  1. Mix your cream cheese until smooth
  2. Add 3 eggs into the cream cheese and mix
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix together
  4. Leave for 5 minutes and while heating your frying pan
  5. Fry in a non-stick pan so you won’t need to use oil or butter

Chicken Apple Salad

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz. grilled chicken breast
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • ½ red onion
  • 1-2 jalapenos
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 lime, juice and set aside the zest
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • Fresh ground pepper and salt

Procedure:

  1. Slice chicken into strips. Place it in a bowl along with your apple slices, pepper slices and red onion slices.
  2. Add your lime zest to the bowl.
  3. In a small food processor add your jalapeno and then juice of the lime and process. Add olive oil and process. Pour this mixture over the salad.
  4. Add slightly chopped cilantro and salt and pepper and then mix.
  5. Let it sit for about 45 minutes to let the flavors mix.

Turkey Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 4 large egg whites
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ unsweetened ketchup
  • 4 oz. raw oats
  • 1 cup unsalted onion, boiled
  • 2 dashes black pepper
  • 8 oz. medium salsa
  • 1 pound raw, lean ground turkey
  • 1 “Cup A Soup” vegetable soup spring mix

Procedure:

  1. Mix all ingredients except for the ketchup. Blend well.
  2. Place in a meatloaf pan and cover the meatloaf with ketchup
  3. Preheat oven at 350 degrees for 1 ½ hours

Chocolate Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup light butter
  • ¼ cup sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup brown rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons sweet rice flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon xantham gum
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons sweetener

Procedure:

  1. Beat butter, first measurement of sweetener and vanilla until it is well blended. Add rice flour, xantham gum, salt and cocoa powder.
  2. Stir in chocolate chips and form into a circular shape or loaf shape. Wrap in plastic and store in the fridge for an hour.
  3. Use a knife to cut the loaf into thin slices. Place on the cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar substitute. Store in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  4. Pre heat oven at 350 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
