A Video Guide On How To Stretch Lower Back Muscles
You may not realize it, but your lower back plays a vital role in everything you do. Keeping it in shape will aid in avoiding the occasional lower back pains that we get when we are overworked. Just like your upper back, there are many ways that you can stretch your lower back.
Your lower back is one of the areas of your body that gets strained after a long day at work or after doing household chores. The lower back is neglected because it is not one of your show muscles. You do not usually work on it because people will not be able to see it anyway. However, it is immensely important that we give equal attention to all the parts of the body. One great way to stretch your upper back is by lying down flat on the floor with your head resting on your two hands that are stacked.
You have to put a fist on top of fist because this will be your guide to knowing that your head is in line with your spine. You start off by lifting one leg at a time. Remember not to lift your leg at a very fast pace. It does not matter how high you lift, just remain relaxed. If you do not find this challenging enough, try to make the stretching more intense by incorporating your arms. Lift the opposite arm while lifting the opposite leg. Lower back extensions are at work when you do that motion.

Another way to stretch your lower back is by kneeling and then stretching your arms to the floor until your armpits almost touch the floor as well. Obviously, your hands should be fully stretched as well. If you do this, you will feel that your lower back is being really stretched.
